Welcome to the Inn

Enjoy your visit at the Naeset-Roe Inn, located in Stoughton Wisconsin. Your host Carl has owned the Inn since September 2003. His 38 years in the hospitality business have prepared him to host you and make your stay as comfortable as he can. His unique gourmet breakfasts will set you up to enjoy your day visiting the shops, antiquing, and galleries of Historic Main Street Stoughton. If you long for the big city, Madison is only 12 miles away.
Zack, Carl’s Sheltie, will greet you at the door and make you feel welcome. If you want to avoid a fur fix while at the Inn please ask and Zack will happily be relocated to his quarters during your stay.
The Inn, built in 1878, is on the National Register of Historic Places and a Designated Landmark of the Stoughton Historical Commission. The Inn has housed travelers for many years. Jens Naeset, the original builder, and architect of the house, opened it to Norwegian immigrants while they were looking for permanent housing. Many of today’s Stoughton residents’ ancestors stayed at the house.
Today the four guest rooms, located on the second floor, are individually decorated and have their own private baths. Furnished with a queen size bed and bedecked with pieced quilts, lovingly made by your host Carl. Enjoy your home away from home at the Naeset-Roe Inn.
