Directions

From Madison:

From the East Side: Take Highway 51 South (Stoughton Road). This will bring you right into Stoughton. Highway 51 is Main Street in Stoughton. You will go through 4 stoplights, then Turn Left 1 block after the 4th light, onto Forrest St. Proceed one block to E. Washington St. and the Inn is on the corner. You may park in the front of the house or on Forrest St.

From the West Side: Take the Belt Line, HWY 12/18 to the Highway 14 exit to Oregon. From the Campus take Park St. South and it turns into HWY 14. When you get to Oregon take Highway 138, left, to Stoughton. HWY 138 joins Hwy 51 at a Stop Sign. Turn Right. Highway 51 is Main Street in Stoughton. You will go through 4 stoplights, then Turn Left 1 block after the 4th light, onto Forrest St. Proceed one block to E. Washington St. and the Inn is on the corner. You may park in the front of the house or on Forrest St.

From Milwaukee: See construction Note

* Construction on Cty N in Cottage Grove.  Take I-94 to the County Highway N Exit (#244). It is the Cottage Grove/Sun Prairie exit. Turn Left onto CTY HWY N. Stay on CTY HWY N until you get to Stoughton. There is a stop light where it intersects with HWY 51. Turn Right onto HWY 51 and go to the first stop light. Go one more block to Forrest St. and turn Right. Proceed one block to E. Washington St. and the Inn is on the corner. You may park in the front of the house or on Forrest St. This is the scenic route after the exit. Don’t worry you only have to go 25MPH for about 2 miles through Cottage Grove.  **See below for alternate route

The Looonger way is to take I-94 to Madison and then take I-90/39 toward Rockford. This is a Left Lane exit off I-94 to I-90/39. Proceed to the Hwy N Exit (#147). It is the Stoughton/Cottage Grove exit. Turn Right onto CTY HWY N. Stay on CTY HWY N until you get to Stoughton. There is a stop light where it intersects with HWY 51. Turn Right onto HWY 51 and go to the first stop light. Go one more block to Forrest St. and turn Right. Proceed one block to E. Washington St. and the Inn is on the corner. You may park in the front of the house or on Forrest St.

From Rockford: See construction Note

Take I-90/39 toward Wisconsin. Proceed to the HWY 51 NORTH Exit (#156). This is the Stoughton exit. Be careful because before this there is a HWY 51 South exit. Stay on HWY 51 until you come to Stoughton. Go to the second stop light. There is a distance between them. Go one more block to Forrest St. and turn Right. Proceed one block to E. Washington St. and the Inn is on the corner. You may park in the front of the house or on Forrest St.

From Minneapolis: See construction Note

Take I-94 East. It will join I-90 and I-39. Take it to Madison and the take I-90/39 toward Rockford. Proceed to the Hwy N Exit (#147). It is the Stoughton/Cottage Grove exit. Turn Right onto CTY HWY N. Stay on CTY HWY N until you get to Stoughton. There is a stop light where it intersects with HWY 51. Turn Right onto HWY 51 and go to the first stop light. Go one more block to Forrest St. and turn Right. Proceed one block to E. Washington St. and the Inn is on the corner. You may park in the front of the house or on Forrest St.

Construction Note: the road is open during construction to downtown Stoughton, so follow the directions. It may be bumpy but you can travel it.

**Alternate from Milwaukee.  From Miwaukee take I-94 toward Madison.  Exit Hwy 73 South (#250) and go through Deefield to Hwy 12/18 West.  turn right and go about 6 miles to exit Hwy N South (#272).  Turn left to Stoughton.  It's about 6 miles to the first STOP LIGHT, which is Hwy 51 (Main Street).  Turn right and go about 1 miles (1 block past the next stop light) to Forrest St.  turn right, go one block and the Inn is on the corner of Forrest and E. Washington.  you can park in front of the Inn or on the side on Forrest St.
